I'm very glad to be here with everyone and to be able to communicate. To be honest, growing up tall woman wasn't easy. It's taken me a while to appreciate my long torso and arms.......good at Dunkin's and ATM's. Anyway, I'm not lying I am really 6'2" 1/2...I was just measured and lost an inch or so....bummer. Anyway, my question is for the woman out there....and perhaps this will give the men some insight...Do you women find short men on this site who want you to wear high heel's and are generally hung up on height? "do you wear high heels?" Is usually right behind the "are you really that tall question?" question. I was just wondering.....I hope to talk to y'all. For now, I'm going out, being from NH, we earn our good wheather....Oh my, I hope I didn't spell anything wrong...Ciao!

I am 6ft 3ins and have generally dated men the same height or taller. I wear 2-3inch heels when dressed go out but flats for work/daywear. As a teenager used to wear 4inch however the guy I dated back then was 6ft 10ins! I was married to a guy who was 6ft 6ins and so heels or not was never an issue for me but I do find it disconcerting that one of the first questions am asked is "do you wear heels". I am still me whether I have heels on or not they dont change my personality!

Great dialog! Yes BigMart... an inch makes a HUGE difference. Back to tmclpn, those questions I think are more for fantasy and not curiosity because they're asking this over the internet. I'm on the short end of the tall women world and I find it kind of creepy that any man would ask if I wear heels... usually followed with a comment like "on those long legs". Those fetishes and fantasies! I think you're correct in wondering if those men are hung up on your height as they're already making it an issue before meeting.

I have rarely dated a man taller than me and I have always worn heels. I have a pair of 4"er's in the closet right now. The men I have been with liked it and were secure enough in themselves not to worry about it. Just remember men are just projecting their inner feminine on to us and when they do go after us it is because there inner feminine is as big and luscious and beautiful as we are, so it doesn't really matter how short or tall we are it's wether we are okay with who we are in our own skin. Rock on heels!

Hi all. I think there are a lot of people out there hung up on height('lack of' or excessive), both women and men. We all have our own quirks and perks. This is just their quirks. My policy is to answer the questions honestly and be up front with what I am looking for. If I don't like what I see and receive, say so and don't pursue it.
I read something interesting. It said something like: Hold your chin up high, but keep your nose at a friendly level. What a great statement. Bye for now.

Probably like a lot of women on this site I have been "approached" by shorter men, some have been very nice others have been rather creepy. And it isn't necessarily what they say but the manner in which it is said. I have met people in the "real world" who have asked me if I wear heels and sometimes the question is cool, just asking for info, other times it is asked in a disapproving tone, like I shouldn't wear heels, still other times it is this type of question (which honestly I just don't get), so you need to read the tone which can be more challenging online.
Ladies, we are what we are. I am 6'2" and there can be challenges to that, people may be intimidated or even at times scared and although there are things I would like to change about myself height isn't one of them.

Hi tmclpn, I can't ever remember being short in my life. I was always the tallest at 5'10". I love my height; I joke that I'm 5-10 and 5 feet of legs! I buy my pants with a 36" inseam. You asked about the mens' responses. Yes, I've gone out on internet dates and when we meet, I've had more than one man say, "Wow, you really are that tall!" (Do they think I don't know how to use a ruler?? Ha!) I just wish I could get the tall ones to respond to my profile. I don't know if I'm bold, boring, ugly, or what...not one has given me feedback. All the ones I wink at reply with, "I don't think we'd be a match." The young ones and short ones(shorter than me) seem to be v-e-r-y interested in me! Ha! Your perfect match will come along. Until then, hold your chin up high! Imfiveten

I know you aimed your question at the women on the site, but can we throw it open to the chaps aswell?
This is just a shot in the dark, but if a man asks you if you wear high heels after you've stated that you are 6'2.5", it could be that (like me) they are about 6'3"/6'4", and by you adding a 2" heel to your height would make you taller than them.
I don't mind a taller woman, but if they are the same height as me to start with, I would want to know if they wore high heels.
By the way - it works both ways - I work as a Sales Engineer and always go to work "suited and booted", hence with a decent pair of shoes on, I'm closer to 6'5" - an inch can make a hell of a difference - or so I'm told..... ;0)
